Annamaria DeMara

AnnaMaria DeMara, originally born and raised in the beautiful city of Toronto, Canada unexpectedly transplanted herself in California in 2006 while on vacation in Los Angeles with her friends.  Soon later she discovered herself adapting to the warm weather and pursuing her long life dream.  This Gemini started dancing at the age of 6 years old with Ballet, soon later accepted to the National Ballet of Canada.  After a few years she trained in jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop.  Her professional career in dance first started when she joined the MLB Toronto Blue Jays JFORCE dance team, and then later became the team dance captain.  AnnaMaria decided to also take up acting and modeling as it went hand in hand in the performing arts.  She modeled representing all of Canada in Ecuador winning the first title ever won for Canada as “La Reina Mundial del Banano”.  As well as, her first short film Stuntman, filmed in Toronto and directed by Justin Lovell, won 8 international awards.  Today she considers her favorite dance style to be freestyle, a style that’s free of movements and choreography and which allows her to incorporate all the types of dance including break dance and house.  “Dance is an expression sewn together with music”.  Her favorite part about her career is she enables to intertwine all art forms together one way or another and she absolutely loves what she does! AnnaMaria DeMara, is very thankful and blessed for every opportunity so far, including to be apart of Los Angeles very own dance group, The Diamond Betty’s.  Some of AnnaMaria’s most recent credits include; Deal or No deal (briefcase model), Nip/Tuck (sexy Latina), See How They Run (Michelle- Feature film), Alltel (National Commercial 2009), Suppressants (Claire-short film), Surfer Dude (Feature dancer-feature film), and also see her interview in Dance Spirit Magazine April 2009 edition!
